Built off a HVF Nanoplus graphite blank utilizing the full gamut of Daiwa technology, Saltiga Surf incorporates full 3DX and X45X Full Shield graphite reinforcement throughout the entire blank length. This creates a surf rod with incredible casting distance, thanks to the unmatched responsiveness of the blank. 3DX and X45X enable the rod blank to recover from bent from straight much faster than rods without this technology, which makes Saltiga Surf some of the best distance casting rods available today.

Equipped with a combination guide train of Fuji Lowrider SiC guides on the butt sections and anti-tangle K series guides on the tips.Custom designed Daiwa reel seats, shrink wrap grips and adjustable weight butts finish off the build of what will be the flagship surf rod in the Daiwa range.

Also included in the range is a dedicated ‘Slide’ model built to cater to the ever- increasing fishery originating from South Africa. Slide bait fishing involves the use of specifically designed rods using low-mount reel seats and mechanical trigger to cast heavy grapnel sinkers incredibly long distances.

Saltiga Slide 1463 is perfectly suited to sliding for Spanish mackeral and other pelagic species, and even smaller sharks and rays.
